The wind blew and howled as the rain lashed against the muddied hide. Tromping through the marsh wastelands, the great beast fought for every step. Her neon green stripes were the only light her sharp eyes had to light through the thick darkness. Her eyes looked up to an empty sky as she longed for a home long lost.
When she was little the doctor took her home, let her play with his cubs and romp around the house. Her day's were bright and carefree. Her daily meal was made by her two legged mother and she slept soundly with her cub mates. Life was good. One day some men in suits came to the door. After that day the doctor was never the same.
